A Way to Give Back: Tutor a Local Student!

The Southeast CDC is collaborating with the Martin Pollak Project, Inc., a therapeutic foster care placement agency located in Highlandtown, to form a family-centered tutoring and mentoring collaborative at our Community Schools.

We are seeking volunteers to support students at any of these three available times and locations throughout the week. We ask for 90 minutes of volunteer time per week, and tutoring sessions take place at the following times and locations:

  • The Martin Pollak Project offices every Tuesday from 6:00-7:30pm
  • John Ruhrah Elementary/Middle School every Tuesday from 3:00-4:30
  • Highlandtown Elementary/Middle School #237 every Wednesday afternoon from 3:00-4:30pm

Will you consider helping us grow this new community of volunteers and families? Please call or email Northstar Baltimore Coordinator Matt Peterson (mpeterson@mppi.org, 410.419.8494) to get involved!

If you cannot commit the time but want to support Northstar Baltimore, or our many other Community School projects, please consider supporting financially.
