Homebuyer’s Clubs

Are you dreaming of owning your own home in Baltimore City?

Join Southeast CDC’s Homebuyer’s Club!

The Homebuyers Club is a series of workshops aimed at training neighbors in all aspects of homebuying, from what to do before you start looking for a house to buy and understanding your mortgage payment to getting grants to save money on your home. The seven weekly sessions are held in person and are open to residents and teachers in the Ellwood Park, McElderry Park, and Baltimore Highlands communities. We keep the group size small so that you have a chance to meet your neighbors and get personalized responses from our experts.

Sessions:

  • Are you ready to buy your house?
  • Managing your money
  • Understanding credit
  • Obtaining a mortgage loan
  • Shopping for a homebuyer tour with a real estate agent
  • Protecting your investment

Our network of experts:

  • Mortgage Loans Officers
  • Real Estate Agents
  • Home Inspectors

Benefits of homeownership:

  • Wealth generation
  • Financial stability and security
  • Freedom to customize your living space to suit you
  • Asset to pass on to your family

After attending all sessions of the Homebuyer’s Club, you’ll earn your homebuying education certificate and be invited to a one-on-one appointment to complete your housing counseling certificate.
